In Eshbel’s Priority ERP software, graphic Business Process Management (BPM) flow charts are provided for each major work process, allowing you to create and implement your own unique workflow methodology. You can use them to define statuses representing each stage of the process, along with paths and rules that govern the transition from one status to another. This feature, which includes automatic task messaging and human resource assignment, can serve as an efficient online authorization process for documents such as purchase requisitions and part revisions. The Task Scheduler also runs periodic checks of business rules in BPM flow charts in order to execute time-activated behaviors (eg, automatic e-mails that are sent when a document remained in a particular status for a given time period). You can define the complete work process for a given document, based on userdefined rules and guidelines for the maintenance of document statuses. You can associate a variety of behaviors with changes in a document’s status under a specific set of conditions, such as automatic messaging (via e-mail or SMS), reassignment to a different user and activation of warning or error messages. You can create infinite variations of each business rule to suit any combination of possible conditions.
