Compensation?…I am searching for arguments against
p>I am a physician recruiter and am on a draw against future commissions earned. My draw is k/year. In the physician recruiting business, the sales process is a very long one. Our recruiters depend on a sales staff to provide us with searches and it is our responsibility to source and permanently place physicians at that point. It generally takes 3-6 months to successully source, qualify, present, interview and license a physician for a search. Once placed, the client has 30 days to pay for our services. Average collection time ranges from 30-90 days. In the meantime, one can amass a significant amount of draw that has to be repaid once the commision is received. My question is…is draw against commission fair in this particular position and how do I make a compelling argument to have the compensation model switched to salary plus commission?
